This blog was created for those of us who seek to really know God as our Helper. We'd like to be able to count up everything in our lives and say, "God did that,...oh yeah, God got me there...yes, the Holy Spirit helped me figure that out." In all honesty, I can look back over my life and recount spurts of events where I know nobody but God got me through that situation! But notice I said spurts. Those were times in my life when nine times out of ten I cried out to the Lord out of desperation. He was indeed faithful and moved on my behalf. For that I am grateful, but I do know there was a greater call to intimacy that He God desired of me.
God always desires to be with us. But why don't we? Why don't we desire that deep intimacy with our Heavenly Father? I know for me it was busyness, guilt, or pure laziness. But thank God for grace! I'm catching on y'all! :) While I'm yet on my journey to real intimacy with my Father, I've quickly realized that the key to my help in life stems from my time with Him. And one might say, "well yes we all our journeying, it never stops, we keep striving to be nearer to God." Yes, we are all on a journey. But are you committed to the journey? Or have you parked somewhere back in 1959? lol..but forreal.
We gotta be real. And that's just the place where God accepts us and provides all the help we can ever imagine needing. Anybody that says they don't need help is flat out lying. In fact, God didn't create us not to need Him. Okay, don't get me preaching..lol. Well I just wanted to share the intent of this blog with those I love, and maybe some that I don't know yet, but still love ;-)
